Bali is ... here and now.

Indonesia, destination Bali Island.

It all started with the desire to visit this beautiful island. However, before arriving I allowed myself to make stops in two other states such as the Malaysia e Singapore.

The arrival at Denpasar airport is within walking distance of the sea...despite the fact that I was arriving from the island of Java and so I was already in Indonesia, the atmosphere changes again. Everything suddenly becomes more magical.

Cabs ringing all the time, the chaos of locals and tourists... in short, let's face it, I expected it to be a little calmer 😉

I choose to spend the first week in the Seminyak area, southwest of the island of Bali.
Everything here is quite touristy, full of Australians and shops where you can shop.
But this is also BALI!
Mica can only be nature and spirituality, after all, the Balinese mostly make this kind of life and manage to find order in chaos!

On one of the many evenings spent here, I decide to leave the city chaos behind and head for the sea-it is already afternoon and I am sure there is a breathtaking sunset waiting for me.
As soon as I arrive, not only do I have confirmation that the sun is about to color the sea, but a group of people are doing Tai Chi on the beach... Pure energy. Thank you Bali!

It's time to change the atmosphere a bit and go to the real nature, the one made up of temples and spirituality. For this very reason, I go to one of the most striking places on the island -- we are talking about the temple Pura Tanah Lot .
Needless to say, the view from here is breathtaking. The photo certainly can't convey the energy, sounds, and smells...but it's still better than nothing.

After recharging myself with nature and spirituality. it's time to do some work -- yes, it's true, I also occasionally have this passion for the digital nomadism, the coaching And all-around communication.
In fact, one of the many reasons I chose Bali as a destination was precisely because of the Busines factor.

Wandering around the Internet, it happens that I end up at a site of One of the world's most innovative and popular co-working spaces, where freelancers, investors, business men and Google men come to visit. We are talking about Hubud!
Definitely a must for all innovators or digital nomads passing through Bali...

"The only way to do good work is to love what you do" (Steve Jobs)

I then invest about 10 days in this beautiful working paradise, meet new people, collaborators and with some even open businesses there...in short, almost impossible to believe!
Who would have guessed that I would shortly become. Creative Director and founder of a International Business? Yet this is what happened... Mowgli, that's the name of my Communications and Digital Innovation Agency.

In Bali, however, "work" days must always be interspersed with moments of relaxation.
This is precisely why I choose to visit the sacred monkey temple (Monkey Forest) in the middle of the jungle and a stone's throw from the co-working space where I was stationed.
Immediately I become friends with some little monkeys and spend a great day of new discoveries, surrounded by the positive energies that only nature can give.

I leave Ubud (which is in the center of the island) to travel further north and so after 1 hour drive with a driver friend, I arrive at another of the stops I had set for this trip. Perhaps one of the most famous and striking (postcard) temples on the whole island.

Welcome to Pura Ulun Danu Bratan.
It is a Hindu-Buddhist temple completely surrounded by the waters of Lake Bratan.
The silence echoing in the air like a sweet melody frames this breathtaking landscape.
It is undoubtedly one of the places that will remain in the heart, as "the best of Bali".

I am almost at the end of my 1-month-long "tour" of Bali. Before I leave Indonesia, however, I choose to see a bit more of it, the area to the south, so that I will then be close to the airport when it is time to leave again.
I then treat myself to a few days in the area of Nusa Dua Beach, where you can find the most beautiful beaches on the entire island ... of course, I was looking forward to nothing more than diving into these turquoise-colored waters.

Still lulled by Bali's waves and the fine sand that lines much of the island, it is time to say goodbye.
Indonesia, a land that has been able to give me unique moments, in the "here and now", an infinite peace and a new awareness that I will carry in my heart for all future travels.
Gratitude for this country, with a people who give thanks every day, can never be enough-thANK YOU BALI!

HERE'S WHAT I LEARNED:

  • the "here and now" exists
  • better to live in a bamboo hut Which surrounded by brick buildings
  • nature always helps to find the inner balance
  • follow your heart, he always knows which way is right
  • Even if you don't know why, risks something
  • Chase your dreams, Are the gasoline of life!
