Sing, Sing, Singapore!

Sing, Sing, Singapore!

Singapore, destination Singapore.

5 hours by bus, directly from the Malaysia, customs, passport control -- and now, welcome to one of the safest cities in the world.
Sing, Sing... SINGAPORE!

After a nap (of about 4 hours) in a super tour bus (paid for for the modest sum of $10), the moment I open my eyes I am in front of the most famous hotel in this state, the Marina Bay Sands.
I seriously thought. "I'm dreaming and this is real"?
Then the bus stops and I realize that yes, it is real!

But it's not time to visit yet, first I'm expected to settle in downtown and take a tour of Singapore by night.

7:07 a.m. the alarm clock rings, a new day begins!
Surrounded by endless skyscrapers, I choose to head straight for the symbol of Singapore, the Gardens by the bay. It is an area surrounded by greenery, parks, hotels, in the midst of the life and tourism of this city. The climate, compared to the Malaysia has not changed; in fact, it seems to be even warmer! However, knowing that inside the facilities we risk hibernation from air conditioning I leave strategically prepared (sweatshirt always at hand).

I begin with the Flower Dome located within the Gardens, with a nice tour through the most famous fairy tales, going from Little Red Riding Hood to Hänsel and Gretel to admire the most beautiful tulips.
Here inside it can be found all species of plants and out existing on the planet earth.

I arrive at an area called "cold forest," but the temperature drops dramatically ...
By heck, it's 5 degrees! Are we crazy? They say it has to be that way...go figure.

"In all things of nature there is something wonderful" (Aristotle)

The part I've been waiting for all my life is coming up--seeing at sunset the gardens and the famous hotel Marina Bay Sands built in the shape of a boat above 3 skyscrapers. What comes before me is the famous WOW effect... a light and sound show that comes with the atmosphere of the sunset behind it. Such experiences often cannot be explained in words.
Sensations and emotions that I will remember for a lifetime, that's for sure!

I am fascinated by the fact that you can climb these super trees...so right after sunset I decide to get a ticket to go up.
What? It's closed? You mean I can't go up? Yes! The security officer replies.
And I retort: you know I'm leaving tomorrow and I may never come back here?
He replies: I understand and I'm sorry, but because 3 drops of water have fallen and it might rain the facility is closed!

I take note and precisely because I like to flow through life I decide to go back the following morning (albeit in a hurry because I have a flight in the afternoon to Indonesia!). So I take advantage of the beautiful day to take the guided tour over these semi-artificial mega trees nestled in a heart of vegetation. I feel like I am in an amusement park, on this flickering bridge suspended 50 meters above the ground and almost 200 meters long!
But it had to be done, it had to be done!

I have come almost to the end of my brief tour of Singapore, and I choose to end on a high note with a by-night view of the city, Lulled by the moon--and other dreams to come true.
Just as in Malaysia, the city of Singapore gives me so much respect for human beings and nature, something we rarely find in the West.

"The good is yet to come." and still charged with emotion I head for theIndonesia, which is why I switched from 2 states (Malaysia and Singapore) before getting there.
The meeting with awareness and the land of wisdom is coming...

HERE'S WHAT I LEARNED:

  • there are cities where wealth is synonymous with cleanliness and respect
  • Without nature we would be dead!
  • we are not masters of this land... let's be guests.
  • nothing happens by chance, used to flow.
  • If you want to do one thing, do it now!
  • emotions Are the beating heart of life.
  • we are human, let us respect each other.

Thank you Singapore, I Love You!
You have entered my heart...
